At home

What happens on a home day

A teacher sends a printed plan on Thursday afternoon. It says what to read, what to memorize and which problems to work, with a time for each. A parent sits with the children, helps where help is needed, and keeps a short note of how the day went.

On Friday a teacher checks in with each family by phone or video. Nothing on a home day is a surprise at school on Tuesday.

  • A weekly check-in with a teacher

  • Notes from home read at school

Faith and welcome

A Christian school, and who is welcome

The faith is the school's own. It shapes the morning gathering, the chapel hour and what the children read. Families who want what we teach are welcome, whether or not they share the faith, and we ask every family to visit before applying so that both sides know what to expect.

  • A morning gathering each school day

  • A chapel hour on Wednesday

  • Questions about faith are welcome at a visit

Questions

What families ask first

What does a home day ask of a parent?

A parent is present and leads the day from the plan: reading together, hearing memory work and checking math. The plan says what to do and about how long it takes, and a teacher is a phone call away.

Can we visit before we apply?

Yes, and we ask every family to. A visit day is a morning in a classroom and a talk with the head of school. Children are welcome to come along.

How does tuition work?

It is set by the grade band and covers the three school days. The school gives its figures in person, so you never read an old one. The tuition page explains how it works and how to ask about financial aid.

Do you take families of other faiths?

Families who want what we teach are welcome. The faith is the school's own and is part of every school day; we are glad to talk about it at a visit.

How big are the classes?

The matrix above gives class size for each grade band. The head of school can go over it with you at a visit.

Book a visit day

A visit day is a morning in a classroom and a talk with the head of school. Children are welcome to come along.
